Plex "Plug In is required to print" fix
Every once in a while, you may get a pop up while attempting to print from Plex with the error message similar to "Plugin is required to print."
- Check system tray (^ button by the time on the taskbar) and verify Plex Component Host is running. To confirm this is running, look for the 3 blue lined icon. If this is not there, proceed to step 2.

- Press the "Search" button on the task bar, then type into the search box "Plex Component Host Notifier." This should show an app with the same name. If this is not there, proceed to step 4 If this is there, open the app.

- Once you opened this app, wait 5-10 seconds, then check the system tray again. If the icon is there, you should be able to print now. If the icon is not there, go to step 6.
- Open Windows Settings>apps>installed apps. If you are not familiar with this Windows Settings, please do not hesitate to reach out to the helpdesk at helpdesk@suptrim.com
or the "My Area" section of this website. Find "Plex Component Host" in the Installed Apps section, click the three dots, then uninstall. Follow the prompts to uninstall.

- Go to Plex Component Host Installation, then click on the "Windows 64-bit Version 1.5.0"
- This should download the Plex Component Host installer. Open the installer and use the "Typical" install. If this requires an admin to move forward, please message helpdesk@suptrim.com or go to the "My Area" section of this website to get this sorted out.
